The Company
Kadena Systems is a privately held development and technology licensing company specializing in the development of unique storage applications for mobile, wireless, and PC applications. The company founders, Tamir Ram and Larry Kubo, draw from prior experience at several of the IT industry's leading system and storage innovators including Veritas, Network Appliance, Auspex Systems, Sun Microsystems, HP, and Adaptec.

President & Principal
Larry has an extensive, 20-year background in bringing new products into emerging, high-tech markets. He has held marketing and general management positions in both venture-backed startups and publicly held corporations.
Prior to starting Kadena Systems, he was principal and owner of First Wave Marketing, a marketing and strategy consulting firm for companies in the storage industry. Prior to this he was General Manager of the Appliance Software Division at Veritas Software, and VP Marketing at Network Appliance.
He holds a MBA from Stanford University, a master’s of engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Tamir Ram
Chief Technology Officer & Principal
Tamir has over 22 years of software product development for in systems and network storage at industry-leading companies including 3Com, Hewlett-Packard, NetFRAME, Auspex, and VERITAS.
Prior to starting Kadena Systems, Tamir served as technical director of Monosphere, Inc., a storage startup, and Senior Director of Software for Data Domain, a developer of enterprise backup solutions. Prior to this, Tamir managed and developed the architecture and implementation of NAS software at Veritas Software. He holds two patents in data transfer between networks and storage processors.
Tamir holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in computer science and math from Tel Aviv University.
